Our Charter

The club was chartered on 9th April 2002 and was presented to the Club by the then president of the Rotary Club of Chinchwad-Pune, Rtn Surendra Sharma on the 25th of May 2002.

The club was chartered with 24 members. Rtr. Kedar Damle took up the herculean task of shouldering the responsibilty of the Charter President. He was ably guided and helped by the then Rotaract Committee Chairperson Rtn. Dilip Chaddha.

Since then the club is involved in many meaningful projects and activities in and around Chinchwad. The project includes Lecture’s on different topics at various colleges, Debate Competitions, Chess Competitions, Essay writing Competitions etc....

The club has also done a remarkable project called “Mission for Vision”- an eye donation awareness campaign, with printing of 5000 wall calendars. The calendars were released by then D.G. Rtn. Ismail Patel at Rotary District conference held at Mahabaleshwar, in January 2004. The project was well appreciated by print and electronic media. Even we received Rotary International’s appreciation letter for the same. Surely, the project created the club’s own identity in the community.

We also have hosted 2 international mascots for promoting peace. This also makes us a unique club as we are the only privileged one among more than 1600 clubs in India.

Club has won various awrds and appreciation at District level for last many years and is rated as One of the Best club in the R.I. District 3131....
